At The Sisters’ Glass, every piece of glassware tells a story — a story of family, craftsmanship, and care for both people and the planet.
Our Origins
The art of handblown borosilicate glass has deep roots in our hometown of Hebei, China, where glassmaking began as early as the 1960s and flourished after China’s reform era in the late 1970s. Over the decades, artisans in our community have refined their skills, creating teapots, mugs, and everyday glassware celebrated for their beauty and durability.
As a family of four sisters, we grew up surrounded by this craft. Two of us — Cuicui and Meina, together with their husbands — have spent more than ten years mastering the delicate techniques of glass blowing, handle attachment, and spout forming. Every product that leaves our workshop carries the warmth of human touch and the precision of experience.
In 2022, we officially founded The Sisters’ Glass, combining our family’s decades of skill with a shared vision: to create modern, sustainable glassware that celebrates the ritual of tea and coffee around the world.
Our Products
Handblown Glass Tea Ware
Tea is an art of patience and clarity — and at The Sisters’ Glass, we design handblown borosilicate glass tea ware to honor that ritual. Every teapot, cup, and gaiwan is shaped by artisans who carry forward more than three decades of craftsmanship from our hometown in Hebei.
Our collection begins with glass teapots — available in Chinese, Japanese, European, Middle Eastern, and modern minimalist styles. Each is carefully handblown to highlight the natural beauty of loose tea as it unfurls in hot water. We offer a range of sizes and functions, from large-capacity teapots (over 500 ml) for home and hospitality use to compact tea mugs with built-in or removable infusers designed for effortless solo brewing.
Each piece we create combines clarity, craftsmanship, and warmth, transforming everyday tea moments into a serene experience of mindfulness and beauty.
Handblown Glass Coffee Ware
At The Sisters’ Glass, we craft a full range of elegant borosilicate glassware for coffee lovers who appreciate both beauty and function. Every piece is handblown by skilled artisans, combining delicate craftsmanship with durable, heat-resistant design.
Our signature line begins with pour-over kettles — including refined gooseneck kettles shaped to give you total control over water flow for perfect extraction. To complement them, we offer portable electric heating bases designed for a seamless brewing experience anywhere.
Next comes our brewing collection, featuring pour-over coffee makers and French presses, each thoughtfully made to deliver clarity and balance in every cup — celebrating the ritual of slow brewing.
For everyday enjoyment, our serving and drinking collection includes:
Glass coffee mugs and cups — in single- or double-wall options for the perfect temperature and feel.
Espresso cups — double-walled to preserve rich cream and warmth.
Cappuccino and latte glasses — tall and graceful, ideal for layered drinks.
Iced coffee tumblers — sleek and refreshing, with or without handles, often paired with bamboo lids and glass straws.
Glass carafes — timeless and versatile, perfect for serving drip or manual brew coffee.
To keep coffee fresh, we design airtight glass storage jars that preserve both aroma and flavor. Our best-selling coffee canister, loved by baristas and home brewers alike, features a unique air-sealed lid that protects beans from oxidation and keeps their natural notes intact.
Each piece we make reflects our belief that coffee is more than a drink — it’s a daily ritual worth savoring, in glassware as beautiful as the moment itself.
Single-use alternatives
Among our glass products, a distinctive collection of glass cups and water bottles stands out — thoughtfully designed for takeaway coffee, milk tea, or water on the go. This collection embodies the vision of Liwen Chen, who has dedicated 16 years to environmental protection. Through innovative design, she strives to make our glassware a sustainable alternative to single-use plastics, reducing waste and contributing to global climate action.
Our Commitment to Quality
Every piece is made from high-quality borosilicate glass tubing — a food-grade, non-toxic material free from heavy metals and plasticizers. Handblown at over 500°C, our glassware is resistant to both extreme heat and cold, safely handling temperatures from –120°C to +120°C.
This craftsmanship makes our glassware not only beautiful to behold but also durable, safe, and sustainable — ideal for both home and professional use. And because borosilicate glass is exceptionally clear, every brewing moment becomes a visual delight, whether it’s watching tea leaves unfurl or espresso bloom.
Our Connection to the Land
Our story is also one of community and care. From 2018 to 2022, Liwen Chen, our eldest sister who is the only child going to college in the family and have worked at environmental protection from 2009 to 2023 at non-profit organizations, and co-founder of The Sisters’ Glass lived in Dongyang Township, Jiangxi Province, where she worked on environmental projects — helping villagers sort waste and improve rural living conditions.
During this time, she discovered that many elderly residents still handpicked wild tea leaves each spring and crafted them into green and black teas, grown naturally in hilly terrain and nourished by mountain spring water — without pesticides or fertilizers.
Inspired by this, we decided to offer these organic teas alongside our handmade glassware, returning all profits directly to the villagers. It’s our way of weaving sustainability, craftsmanship, and community together — a small act of gratitude to the land and the people who nurture it.
Our Values
At The Sisters’ Glass, sustainability is not a slogan — it’s an everyday practice. We recycle waste glass back to the tubing manufacturer for reuse, explore solar energy to power our facilities, and design production systems that minimize waste. Under the guide of the elder sister Liwen Chen, who has worked in the field environmental protection since 2009, we are making a difference for energy efficiency and sustainable manufacturing glassware.
We also believe that true sustainability begins with people. Our flexible working arrangements allow employees to care for their children and elders, keeping work and family life in harmony.
